A lot of people bought them for status and you see these gas sippers zipping down the highway at 75 80 MPH so there is no savings or enviro mental savings jsut status. So they tried to make more bucks with launching a new one..

Tell your instructor that the people on Yahoo! Answers are getting tired of seeing this exact same question every few weeks. (While you're at it, tell him/her that the Prius has never been "relaunched" -- it has been in continuous production since it was introduced as a Japan-only car in the 1998 model year.)
