Default We have a Toyota Camry Altise 2004 Sept rel model and our CD player shows ERR 1 when

trying to play any CD. ?? No CD's will play at all.

Toyota didn't even go into the problem, just said they would need to send it off for repair to Fujitsu, $299 later. In the manual, it says Err1: disc is stained or upside down. Both not the case and still brings error message and won't play discs. Is there anyway of resetting or has anyone had this problem too?

The radio does work - just not CD's

the cd mode has gone into lock down, it needs a code put in, the service place can do that.

Is this by chance a 5 cd changer or just a single cd changer ?

Reason I ask is that if , at some point, the cd was forced into

the unit, it may have bent some linkage. My 5 cd changer does this, so it's just a little game of "assisted wiggling" that

I go through to get it to play my music. It's something worthy of"YOU TUBE". Quite silly, but it's a ritual for me. Someday, I may just remove and replace the unit in my 95 Camry with

a five cd changer."Good Tunes to You"
