Default New 2008 Toyota 4Runner?

I just bought a new 2008 Toyota 4Runner less than 1 month ago and I'm having a little problem with the car. Can anyone tell me if they hear a noise or a sound like "psst" every time they brake. Also, can anyone tell whether their brake vibrate or has a pulsating feel every time they brake. I don't think that this is normal, even though Toyota is telling me that it is. Thanks in advance for your responses.

I guess the sound is coming from your disc brake. When putting on your brake the disc pad and and rotor are rubbing and makes a sound. Check if your front tire's air are balanced.Sometimes it wiggle and vibrate if they are not balance. When you are on the freeway try to feel your steering wheel if it pulls to the left or to the right. If your front tire are balanced maybe your tie rod end.

I hope this help.

the "psst" sound could be normal. depending on how hard you are applying the brakes. the sound comes from the brake master cylinder. this time of master cylinder has an accumulator that helps with the braking. this could be normal. all depends on how fast or how hard you are stepping on the brakes. are you hearing this noise from inside the cabin?

the brake pulsation while braking tells me that you warped your rotors. usually this is caused by hard braking and overheating them. to get rid of this problem you should go to a better toyota dealership. usually we take care of this, one time only under warranty, here at my dealership.
