Default Second Gen Toyota MR2 no powersteering?

So I was thinking about buying this n/a mr2 that I looked at today and the owner said that there was no power steering. Did all of these come with no power steering? or maby just the n/a's? or some n/a's? what? if they did come with it, any reasoning you might come up with why it doesnt?

Most 2nd gens didn't have power steering. You'll usually find it on Turbo's and rarely on N/A's.

1. With very little weight on the front of the car and the rack and pinion ratio not really extreme/short why do you need the extra parasitic drag on the engine from a pump?

2. The lack of hydraulic fluid absorbing/dulling the road feel gives a better "connection" to the road and the over all driving experience. It's better for a spirited driver.

I don't know for sure but that's what I think. Either way i hope you pick one up, its a very fun car. Good luck with your car search.
