Did you lock your keys in the car? The Camry is universally reviled by locksmiths and tow truck operators for this very reason. You can still use a slim jim to pop the lock up, but you need another person to quickly open the door as soon as the lock is popped. If you are trying to steal the car, shame on you....

I have a 2000 Camry that has had lock problems - turns out it was the remote. The lock button on the remote was stuck down. Once I wiggled it around, it got freed up and I have never had a problem since
