Default How many suitcases can you fit in a Ford Ka or Toyota Yaris?

Me, my husband and 2 sm all kids are going on holiday and thinking about hiring a small car. We are worried that it wont be big enough take our suitcases if we pick up it from the airport. We will prbably be taking 3 large suitcases. The car choices are ka, yaris, grand punto or kia cerato?

Do not go for the ka or the yaris.

They're great cars but you'll be lucky to fit you and your kids in never mind 3 suitcases!

You'd probably get one suitcase in the boot of a ka or yaris, maybe 2 plus one between the kids in the back in a grande punto and I don't know anyone with a cerato so I'm not sure what kind of boot they've got.

If you can afford it a Focus or an astra would probably be a better bet.

If you phone the hire company they should know though - they probably get asked that all the time.

hi i would say the punto is your best bet for boot space as i used to have one and the boots are deep ish compared to a ka, other then that if you are not sure have a look and compare the cars before you go, go to a second hand car place and have a little look about lol. good luck and happy hols

Um, it depends, are you or your husband packing for the trip? (My wife can pack some serious stuff in some bags!!!) With a car like that, are you sure you don't want to rent a motorcyle with a side care so you have more room?(you could always pull a trailer, too). I don't see how any one can seriously answer that, how big are 3 large suitcases? Big to you, or big me? I'll just say 3 and 3/4 of a bag, depending on the density of the contents.

yea not the yaris.......mum and i went on a holiday.....with the back seats down we got 2 suitcases and a pram (for cousin) and a backback....you won't fit much more than that......be realistic you might have to pay a little extra but getting a bigger car means you don't have to worry about whether you are all going to fit, and how squashed you might be travelling to your destination
