very reliable cars, really good cars, you need to first make shur that it wasnt in a accident, inspect under the hood for leaks or cracked belts, and abnormal noises, comone problems are, leaking oil pressure switch,,cracked drive belt,,,loose belt tensioner,,door handels rust inside doors,,,window bolts get loose,,,nothing to scare you away, trust me these problems most likely already happened and were fixed just look out for this,

Yes, they are very reliable.

In fact, only 1 brand is more reliable-Honda.

Toyota and Honda will both reach 300,000 miles with regular maintenance and no real problems. Just the basic stuff like getting new belts and water pump and every 100,000 miles and replacing sparkplugs every 2 years, etc.

Based on a 10-year reliability history, the Toyota Corolla is on AutoOnInfo.net's very selective Best of 2009, with a Composite Reliability Value of +.90 on a scale of -1.00 to +1.00.

However, always inspect a used vehicle for possible abuse.
