good question. its very unique van. well under your hood there is a containter for oil. but that is just a resovior. so if the engine oil goes low it will suck more from there. the proper place is basicly on the engien itself but you have to aviously fold the drivers seat back and open the cover in the floor and fill it there. what ive seen happen is people not knowing that to do keep filling the resovoir under the hood and then then sticky oil blocks the line while the engien oil is actually low and they think its fine and cook the motor.
