what to do if 99 toyota corolla engine light came on?

Default what to do if 99 toyota corolla engine light came on?
my oil light was on for about 5 days . & my engine cut off . I put 1 & a half bottle of engine oil in it . & it started for a while then cut off again . this time when it cut off the engine started knocking . & now the car won't turn back on & both the engine & oil light are on . what does that mean ? do u think I blew out my engine & if say how much is it qon cost ?

you prob need a new engine.Why on earth would you drive for 5 days with the oil light on.

go to most any auto parts store (advanced auto, auto zone...) most places will see why it is on and tell you how to fix it
