Default 1995 Toyota Previa SC All Trac, New Struts same ride?
I've changed the suspension on my 95 but I'm still riding around like they are 10yrs old. I don't understand what is wrong, could it be I need new springs? Could it be that my motor mounts are cracked? If so what can I do to find out aside from taking it to a mechanic, I don't want to be lied to if I can spot the problem myself.















Well its not the struts because I changed them and then returned them and changed them out again to ensure I didn't receive a bad pair..so its definitely not the struts...I guess my springs are gone then because theirs no rattling...















The ride isn't funky, its just EATING the street like I'm sitting on nothing..so I believe its bad coils..thing is its very hard to find front coils, the dealer wants $325 for them..I just wish I could find some good aftermarkets for them...

Well the struts could be bad. I use to work at autozone and some struts that we recieve from the factory are bad and we have to send them back. Because of the crack motormounts the engine my rattle a little bit.

Your going to have a funky ride when you have an older vehicle and you replace only part of the suspension. I suggest replacing the springs as well, they probably are very soft and not absorbing like they should.

What you're experiencing is something us Previa owners are aware of. The issue is either the coils and/ or the actual mounts are bad.

There's a lot to be found on this and any other Previa topic on these two websites. Many people have found ways to fix the issue. Also, consider Yahoo's Previa forum as well. I haven't visited there in a while but there is a plethora of info there too. I'm positive that the issue you are having isn't your motor mounts, but check out those websites and see what you'll find.
