Default How fast are Toyota MR2 Spyders?
I will be recieving a moderate enlistment bonus and I'm looking for fast cars that you dont see driving around everyday. I want to know how fast these little dudes are cause I love the mid engine layout. NO FANBOYS. I want non-biased opinions.

It's a 1.8 Liter 140 HP engine, not real great, but the handling is superb. It's just fun to drive and gets decent MPG.































Don't get yourself into a debt you can't afford in the long run.

Like Pilsner said its not fast. Its powered by the same 1zz-fe found in the Corollas of similar years. It is light being close to 2000 lbs so it is faster than a Corolla but if your thinking of taking it to the drag strip pick something else. If you want a auto-cross, track, twisty back roads car then the MR2 is for you. Its runs mid 15's but is made for the corners.

The New MR2's are super slow. Go with the older ones the 92-95 MR2's. They come 210 horsepower turbo charged and rear wheel drive.
