nearly every speedo, in every car, says the car can go to a ludicrous speed. the simplest way to improve the power of a simple car is to add a high induction system, or a performance, or an intercooler. then you can get to higher mods like cam shaft, or even if you are willing to go the distance, a turbo or a supercharger. although with a simple engine like the MR2 i would recommend some of the more simple mods i suggested. have fun!
