Default Any trouble spots for 1991 Toyota pickup?
I'm looking to buy one with 73k, the 22RE engine, 4wd, and a 5 speed. I've had good luck with an '88 before. Anything I should be concerned with before I buy?

the only downfall of the 22r engine in general is the same as the 20r engine, the timing chain fails after like 140,000 miles and it must be replaced, other than that, dont overheat the engine and its invincible.. not the fastest truck, but the most reliable!

watch the suspension and steering peices. I'm having trouble with my 4Runner in that direction (the same as the truck, but with a permanent bed cap :P) you might wanna dive the suspension a once over, either before or after purchase. I've even had the dealership grumble about it.

just the timing chain after 140000. dnt wry bout the suspension unless your a really shitty driver and u brake and turn alot or jerk the wheel when switching lanes.
