Default Toyota sprinter trueno question?
I love this car, want to buy one. Im in the UK and wondered what the english version was called, is there isnt one, which cars look the same? cheers

Toyota Corolla AE86. They are pretty thin on the ground here now and the remaining ones are going for good money.

Here in the US we have the Sprinter Trueno equivalent called the Corolla GTS, looks Exactly like the Trueno. There is also the corolla SR-5. The SR-5 is a coupe, I think and not a hatch back like the GTS. Good luck finding one!

as the guys above have stated the corolla gts is the same but for one factor the jap model is supercharged ours isnt its the same motor thats in the mr2 85 -89 vintage

Actually, Sao V was right. The supercharged engine was an option on the Sprinter on certain years. The US model was called the GT-S with a base model called the SR5. both were offered in the hatchback and coupe bodystyles. If you want to find out more info on Trueno in the UK, do like the first answer said: Do a search for the AE86 in UK. You'll find what you're looking for.
