What car do you think would win in a straight 0-80 race?































159hp 1998 mercedes c230 vs 160 hp 2007 toyota camry































both automatic, both cars where well taking care of































this race is from idle to about 80

First of all the 98 C230 has 148 Horsepower not 159. Also, the Camry with the inline 4 has 158HP.















here are the specs.































1998 Mercedes Benz c230















148HP, 162 ft.lbs of torque















Curb Weight: 3250 lbs















0-60mph: 9.7 seconds































2007 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder















158HP, 161 ft-lbs torque















Curb Weight: 3263 lbs















0-60mph: 8.8 seconds































So the answer to your question is the Toyota Camry will just barely win in a straightline race against the MB. Both cars have almost identical power but the Camry has a little bit more, along with a slightly smaller curb weight.

are you for real? OMG the Mercedes probably, neither are race cars though, but Toyotas gearing would probably make it a tad slower

horsepower has nothing to do with acceleration. its all about torque.















































if the mercedes was real wheel drive, it might stand a chance because camry's are front wheel drive.
