Default Are loud cars annoying? Celica?

I want a car, preferably celica, but I really like to blast up the music in the car, but I know some celicas are really loud, and I was wondering will loud engines affect the volume of music when I try to listen to it.

and how do you make a car less loud?

Also for the loud celica owners, is it so loud that you cant hear yourself speak?

Please keep your windows rolled up so those of us who aren't into your kind of music aren't forced into having to endure it. Just sayin'.

The Celica can be kinda buzzy at higher revs, but Toyota does a decent job of keeping the engine noise out of the cabin. It's not too bad.

i had a 6th gen celica (94-99) with nice 5zigen exhaust and injen intake, then i turbo'd it and the engine compartment got louder.

but my sick two kicker cvr's 12" could still be heard over any of it, plus celica's have a good speaker setup to start. my celica wasn't loud until i put the intake on it, they arent too loud?

I have a 2000 gt celica and completely stock is was pathetically quiet. I put a decent system in there and turned it up like a quarter of the way and you couldn't even tell the car was on.

About a year ago I put a K&N cai on it and have HKS hi power exhaust. still, not that loud. We are talking about a celica here. Not a mid nineties hatchback civic with a coffee can exhaust.

As far as making it less loud, the majority of cars built nowadays are pretty much as silent as they can get as far as stock goes. The engineers that create the cars are fairly conscious about the noise deadening aspect. The air intakes are deadened to be quiet, the exhausts are deadened to be quiet, and the cabin is normally surrounded by some noise deadening fabric.

If you really wanted to make things even quieter though I guess you could pull up the interior and add more. Personally on a celica though, there is no need.

Hope some of this helped.
