Reliability? Are you kidding me? You are dealing with the most reliable car of the most reliable brand. My dad owns a 1998 4runner with about 230,000 miles on it. The only problem; worn out brake pads (which, could be avoided with good driving techniques.) I just got an 08 v8 sr5 model (very fast), but any model after 03' should be significantly faster.
As for the sport model, the suspension is stiffer, giving you a slightly bumpier ride, but you will enjoy driving it more.
Even though a lot of people have it, i would still go with silver, black looks good on most cars, but on these silver looks better.
***oops there was one other problem with the spark plug, which is to be expected after thousands of starts
