Default '07 Corolla oil light went on and looking for reasons...?
Light went on and car died... keep in mind it was extremely wet and a lot of driving was done.















all levels were fine and i changed my oil about 2500 miles ago, i've been changing my own oil for over 30 years.

sounds like it needed oil that it didn't get

Sorry if this sounds lame but did you check your oil level? Make sure you don't have a leak!

what nda m said. if you just had the oil change by a lube company, occasionally they have a ding dong there who for gets to tightened the oil drain plug and you loose all your oil.

If the engine is full of oil, most likely the oil light came on after the engine died. I would look to see if it has any codes stored. If is does they could give you a clue as to what happened.
