Default I have lost my master key and fob to my 2000 Toyota Camry. How do I get a new master?
I don't have a spare, and have totally lost my master and remote. What do I do to get keys made?

go back to the dealer from were you bought it

call any toyota dealer with the vin number and they can get you a replacement

if you bought the car new, it came with a identification tag attached. take that key code to any locksmith and he'll be able to cut you a new key, and will also set you up with the proper transponder. dealers















will take you to the cleaners, if you know what I mean, so avoid that















unless last resort

You mentioned that you lost your master key so I am assuming that your vehicle is equipped with immobilizer system.If this is correct,you will need to have it towed to a nearby Toyota dealership to have another master key programmed to it.This is done by hooking up a computer to your vehicle,retrieve the existing immobilizer code,link submit it to Toyota Motor Co.,they assign a new code and the technician enters it into your vehicle system to be able to program a new master key.This can only be done at the dealership because Toyota will not release this code unless you are a Toyota master technician linking from a toyota dealership computer with a registered password.Hope this information helps.

Go to an automotive locksmith. They will reflash the immobilizer and program new keys and remotes. Contrary to dealer opinion, that system was cracked over 5 years ago.
