What is the difference with CA emission Corolla?

Default What is the difference with CA emission Corolla?
I live in Arizona and was going to look at a 2007 Toyota Corolla but originally from California. What extra emission systems would this have and would it be a bad idea to have extra emission stuff when not required? Just wondering if there is much more to maintain? Thanks

California has one of the strictest emissions regulations in the country. Provided that the equipment is operating correctly, you will have no ill effects with having the cleaner emissions equipment. Registering a California Emissions car in a state that is not as strict could be considered a good thing, because even if it isn't operating at 100% efficiency, there is still a good chance that it will fall within the guidelines of a state with more lax emissions standards.
