What are the most reliable engines made by toyota?

theres plenty...but the main one that comes to my mind is the 4age 16 valve 1.6 liter engine...

there all pretty reliable, just most of the toyota engines just dont have alot of power like the chevy blazers. especially the toyota four runner....those dont have a whole lot of power. but the corolas have good power. i like the new v8 supercharged toyotas, the 08's. they have at least 500 HP if you get the ones that have TRD (Toyota Racing Development) on the sides. 16' rotors. 22' wheels. Traction control...perfect for hauling trailers.

This is a funny question because I have never heard of an unreliable Toyota engine- well at least since the Toyota Crown came out in the mid 60s. All of them are very reliable. The most reliable would probably be the R series engines (such as the 2.2 liter 20R engine and the 2.4 liter 22R/RE engine). Those are the engines used in the Celicas, Coronas, and pre-Tacoma Trucks. Those vehicles are well known for passing 500,000 miles without a hitch. The 2.0 liter 3S-FE/3S-GE engine (Celica/Camry)and the 2.2 liter 5S-FE (Celica/Camry/MR2 N/A)engine are pretty close too and they are much more modern engines. The 2TZ-FE and 3TZ-FE (both 2.4 liter engines used in the Previa and Tacoma) are also on par with those engines. Any engine ever used in the Toyota Corolla are super reliable and can easily pass 300,000 miles virtually trouble-free- especially the 1.6 liter 2TC and the venerable 1.6 liter,4A-GE.

If you are fitting in another car you have to know if it can fit or other wise the power would be too much for the body can handel or the body is very heavy that your car does not have enought power to move.































To me a Toyota Corolla is the most reliable engine to me or a Toyota Hilux, Landcruiser etc.

Go to a Toyota dealer. Find a toyota on the lot. Open the hood. ...If there's an engine in there...it's reliable!
