1988 Supra Engine and Transmission Swap?

I want to replace my 7mge with auto transmission with a 7mgte with attached 5 speed. Do the mounts for the engine and transmission match up?

I dont know what year supra the engine and transmission came from.

its should...its the same motor...just that one is turbo...

its the same thing as swaping a honda/acura...like a integra ls swapping in a gsr motor....

I had an 87 Supra Turbo with the 7mgte/ 5 spd. I would bet the engine mounts the same, not sure on the tranny.

That car was fast, faster than a corvette of the same yr.

the engine will match up with the mounts but you are going to have to do a little more work such as add an oil return line and install an intercooler with piping. as far as going from an auto to a 5 spd dont waste your money. with all the custom fabrications you would have to do it would be cheaper to just buy a 5spd turbo that you can pick up for like 2500 bucks or so. the turbo 7mgte is from 88-92 in 86.5 (yes they made an 86.5)lol they made the same model supra but did not offer turbo until i believe 87, and in 93 they went to the 2jz. hope this helps
