Default Help with a Toyota Corolla 2009 help?
Every 5000 miles, i get a light that shows me that i need maintenance. I changed the oil, but it doesn't want to go away. What else should I check to make this go away, or how do i make it go away. (For Example, pressing a button somewhere.)

In your manual it should tell you how to turn the light off.

there is a button to press. which one and how is in the owners manual.































typically on a toyota it's the reset button for the trip odometer. set the odometer to standard total mileage. turn off the car. as you turn the car to on, hold down the odometer button. 4 or 5 straight lines should appear and disappear one by one. when the last one is gone, the maintenance light is reset.

Set your trip meter to trip A, turn off ign key. Press and HOLD your trip meter button, turn ign key on (do NOT start and hold the trip meter reset button for about 10 seconds.































Working for Toyota for over 10 years now.

This is common with the computer in the car just reminding you to do routine maintenance. You can reset the computer by disconnecting the battery negative lead for ten minutes, then reconnected it.































The light should go out, if not or it comes back, stop by a local auto parts store and ask them to read the error codes for you. Many will do so free of charge, and it will show if you have something failing that needs replacing or repairs.
