What is more likely is that your brake fluid is a bit low. As your brakes wear over time, they naturally adjust closer to the rotors/drums and in doing so the level of fluid in your brake fluid resovoir may be low. Add a bit if you are a bit low and in all likelihood the light should go out. Next time you have your tires rotated, be sure to have your brakes inspected though as they may be getting a bit worn.
Hope this helps.
