Default Max load capacity for a 1987 Toyota pick-up?
I have a 1987 Toyota short bed, 4wd. I was wondering...what is the maximum load capacity for this vehicle? The old owner neglected to include the manual and I cannot seem to find these specs anywhere! It currently has the original bed...however I may use this as a work truck now that I have purchased a newer truck for personal use...and I may put a custom body on it. Help me, please!

it's a half ton truck.















the 4wd models never came with the 1 ton suspension.































you could add helper leaf springs to handle more weight if you need. Hellwig makes a good setup.

a couple of hundreds of pounds. not like a ford f-150. small things

its not mutch. i dont know how the the guy with the frist answer thinks that a small toyota can safely hold a half ton but it cant

max payload for a 1987 Toyota Pickup 1Ton is up to 2655 lbs.































non-1ton toyota pickup about 1800lbs.































but its not how much it can carry, its how much it can stop.































so i would of course make sure the brakes are in good shape































and carry under the maximum weight capacity.
