Default Can you tell me if "87 and "89 4Runner parts are interchangeable?
Specifically: the rear differential, the rear window, and the engine. Any thing else would be helpful.

Hi, Yes, this first mod first gen 4runner 86 -89 share all body and mechanical parts. They had 3 engine options- fuel injected 2.4, turbo 2.4 and 3.0 V6. 84-85 have diiferent suspensions and engine (carburetter). The turbo and V6 share heavier differentials. There is much information online. Happy parts swapping..Geo
