Ryan S is partially right except the wires he is pointing out. There are no wires attached with fuel filter. It is only a hose pipe coming from top (in take) and through the bottom the fuel passes over towards the carburetors. This normally attached with the body just behind the engine on the passenger side. Be very careful when you disconnect the fuel hose pipe which is normally with a jubilee clip, pull it up, do this when the engine is cold, place underneath many rags as there is always pressure in the pipe, let the fuel drain a bit on rags. Undo two bolts, take out the filter and disconnect the bottom pipe, replacing a new one is just the reversal procedure. Not a big job if you have a right spanner or socket.
