the first is the squirrel Cage(Or Fan) and motor and mount, the second is the cavity for the first unit, you can replace the motor if it does not turn buy removing the locking pin on it. First however get two cables and hook the black wire to the battery negative and the negative terminal then hook red wire on to battery red or + then touch the other wire connector on the motor if it spins it's ok if it squeals look to see if fan is rubbing against the fan cage if it is straighten it by bending it in the opposite direction also spray WD 40 around the motor shaft and if that shuts it up your bearing is going out so get it replaced or buy a new motor at a parts store. if you put it back together and t still squeals the motor frame is bent and causing it to rub, that is for your heater and ac if equipped
