As others have said, check the tread of the tire - is there a stone/rock, nail, or other piece of debris stuck in the tire? The sound might go away if such an item finally falls out, and come back when you get another one.
My parents always had this sort of problem on their cars, since they had a pea stone gravel driveway. An even more common problem for their cars that caused the same noise as you describe was one of these tiny stones getting stuck in between the hubcap and the wheel, and bouncing around in there for a while until either getting stuck in one spot for a while or falling out... We just got in the habit of removing the hubcaps whenever the sound came back, spray the wheels with a hose, and return the hubcaps, and that would usually fix it until yet another stone got in there... We'd give the same advice to any friends/family that suddenly noticed similar sounds after visiting...
If you don't find such a simple solution, you may need to have the car inspected at a reputable tire shop or dealer. Perhaps you did hit a pothole or hit a curb but didn't realize it (which could've damaged a tire or your alignment/suspension), or you may indeed have a tire that has a manufacturing defect causing such a ticking noise.
