Where is the water pump on a 1990 toyota celica?

Is it an easy fix if so can you do it yourself?

Inside timing cover,driven by timing belt,it is not easy if you have to ask.

no it is not, this was the last job I did on one. The access is very restricted and some trick spanners are essential!

Carman is right. You have a timing belt. when you take it in for a timing belt service, the mechanics always recommend replacing your waterpump (and seals) at the same time because it's in the same area- inside the timng cover. It IS driven by the timing belt.That is one of a few times a mechanic's advice is truly saving you money. Since you're in there, why not get a full timing belt service? If it hasn't been done yet, get it done before it leaves you stranded or starts leaking oil from one of your seals. You'll save hundreds on labor in the long run.

Well the repair is very different depending on which engine your car has. If you have the ST you have a Corolla engine and the water pump is driven by a belt but it is jammed down on the back of the engine and not easy to get to. If you have a GT you have the Camry engine and the water pump is driven by the timing belt under the timing cover. Either way I would have to say that if you have to ask, you probably should not attempt it.
