Default how do you turn off the maintance required light on a 2009 toyota corolla s? the light
came on after 5000 mil?

If there is not a quick and simple solution in your manual, you can take it to your local Toyota dealer and have it shut off or have trouble codes pulled at no charge. Your vehicle is still under factory warranty by time and mileage.

Take it to the dealer,you need to change the oil.They can turn the light off.

The maintenance required light is telling you that maintenance is required! Get the oil changed and they will turn the light off. If you have had the oil changed and the light came on they forgot to reset it. Put the odometer on trip A, turn the ignition off, hold the odometer switch down, turn the ignition on, watch the lines count down to zero. When you see all zeros the counter is reset. I repeat, it is very import for the reliability of your car to get the oil changed regularly!
