Autotrader's very popular so has a lot of choices.































There are also budget cars on gumtree.com which has local sites and is free to advertise on.

Ebay is a good place to try, along with local classified adverts (that way you don't have to travel as far).































I would also go down to local dealerships and ask around as to what they have, you never know what cars they have lying in the back lots that have been traded in that they want rid of.































Besides that, Autotrader is a good place to look.

I have just seen Toyota Avensis 2.0 on Auto traders. Asking price £1395, no mention of MOT, number of previous owners not mentioned. Give a ring if you are interested, surely he will come down, no body gives the asking price especially in this recession. Talk to him, you never know you will be lucky. Make sure necessary papers and MOT are there.
