Default all trac 4wd question?
What does all trac 4wd mean? As in 1991 Toyota Celica Gt all trac 4wd.

Same as AWD which uses FWD until 1 wheel starts spinning and that wheel turns in back. There are no all the time 4wd cars.

Your car has full time all wheel drive. This is possible because there is a third differential between the front and rear drives so the drive train doesn't bind when turning on dry pavement. There is a viscous coupling in the center differential to prevent you from getting stuck if any one wheel is stuck. It allows the other end to pull.

It means that your car has AWD (All Wheel Drive). The car is front wheel drive until one of the wheels starts spinning, then the viscous coupler in the center differential will transfer power to the rear wheels to help keep the car moving in low traction conditions such as snow and ice.
