hi im 13 years old and in 3 years im going to get my dads 2003 toyota tacoma TRD OFF ROAD prerunner SR5 its awesome so any way do u think i should take it i love the truck to death, oh and can anyone give me the exact specs horse power, drivetrain ect. ok so specs and should i take it thanks alot oh yeah please no tacoma haters thanks alot















it know has 125,000 miles















its a v6 prerunner thanks for all answers

jap cars/trucks last forever. i've owned 2 subarus and a honda, all of which i bought w/ over 90k miles on them and 1 i drive to near 200k (the town of boston towed and destroyed it is the only reason i don't still have it). i have a friend who has a '96 tacoma anf the battery & starter had to be replaced and a strut is failing, but this is normal for a 13 yo truck, no?

As long as you like the color, cause you will not likely ever be able to wear that truck out. Mine has 200,000 and I haven't done a thing to it other than change the oil every now and then. Also, that's really decent of your Dad. I hope you thank him by driving carefully and taking care of both the truck and yourself.

I have to same year truck. Mine is a V6 PreRunner. All I remember is that the V6 is about 190 horse power at 4800 rpms. It has 12inch ground clearence from the lowest point underneath. If I were you I would love to of had this truck at 16 but I bought mine new when I was 23. I wouldn't give my truck up for anything.

the V-6 had 190 hp.































the mileage is high, but if it's been cared for it won't matter. the tacoma is perhaps the most reliable truck ever built anywhere by anyone... period. it's widely used around the globe by low budget militaries that need a superreliable transport for cheap.
