Not a long time. At 25 mph, about 1 second- not exactly, but close.















You have 100 cm in one M. A good stride is about a meter. If you step twice every second, which is called "quick time", and that's standard pace, you can do your 10 meters or 1000 cm in 5 seconds.

centi- is a SI prefix meaning 1/100. It comes from a Latin word meaning "hundred."































So, 1 meter = 100 centimeters































If you have 10 meters, multiply both sides by 10:















1 meter * 10 = 100 centimeters * 10















10 meters = 1000 centimeters

However, you asked on an automotive forum, so asking "how long would it take to go ...?" sounds like you are asking for an amount of time that it takes to travel a certain distance.
