Your manual will tell you to turn the key to the first notch while holding down the trip odometer. It will flash 000000 and then go back to whatever mileage you were at.

put odometer to trip a. then push and hold the odo/trip reset button while you turn the key off then to on/don't turn on the car just key ON. You'll see dashes that will slowly go away and turn to zero
