Exchanging a Scion for Prius?

Default Exchanging a Scion for Prius?
I bought (financing) a new Scion xB Scion 2009 back in November 2008 and it now has about 5,000 miles. The gas mileage in 23mpg so I feel like I'm back and forth to the gas station. I wanted to know if I can exchange it for a Prius. The year would not matter, maybe 08 or 09. What are my chances and would be the implications?

Question is, are you upside down on your car loan? If you owe more on the car than it's worth, then you should keep driving it until you are no longer upside down. Then think about getting a new car.

I wouldn't do it right now.































Whether you put a bunch of money down on the Scion or you plan on rolling your negative equity into the Prius, you will lose thousands on the deal.















You would lose enough of a difference to pay for your gas in the Scion for the next 1-2 years.....and you still have to put gas in the Prius.

You can't exchange a car as you are upside down quite a bit and will need at least 5000.00 down plus higher payments to do. A prius is 5000.00 more expensive at lowest price without tax ect. that is about 75.00 more a month plus the 5000.00 down. Not worth it as you will be losing10,000 more in 5 years which will not make up for gas.
