Is 4th gear safe now?

Default Is 4th gear safe now?
My Toyota 4x4 (93) got stuck in 4th gear. Mechanics pulled it out of 4th, and it will shift into 1,2,3,5. Is 4th gear safe to shift into now? Or should I avoid it like the plague?

call the mechanic that fixed it for you and ask them. I would try it while keeping the clutch held down, and if it goes in and comes out okay then you can try it and disengage the clutch this time. That is if you can't get ahold of the mechanic. They may have seen another problem like maybe the synchro's are out on 4th gear.
