If it's a rattling or clattering noise, it may have worn cam chain guides, or the tensioner may have allowed the chain to get slack. You may get a better idea by removing the rocker cover & looking down the cam chain slot.
It could also be something far simpler like alternator bearings.
I would take it to a Toyota Dealer and have it checked out.The cam-belt or chain should be easy for them to fix, a camshaft is another story! The problem with most cars today is they make engines so technical and difficult to work on yourself that it's best to let the garage check it out. I drive a Honda Civic 1.7CTDI and I can't even put my hands in the engine bay as it's so cramped! I hope you get it sorted I myself love the Toyota Celica & I'm hoping to buy the 190 GT later in the year! Great car looks fast too! Good luck!
