Default I have a 1991 toyota mr2 turbo. I was driving last night and I couldn't find 4th gear.?
when I continued driving, I now don't have 2nd 4th or reverse. It feels like there is no place for the gear shifter to go. What's wrong?!

Will it shift into 2nd or 4th without running? Reverse OK?































Could be loose linkage. If it only does it while it's running, could be syncho gears.

Yeah sounds like a shifter cable retainer came loose (U clip) or shifter rubber end link tore,ripped, deteriorated.































If the U clip is missing you can use any clip from any Toyota with a manual trans.































These work well if you find your bushing is torn up.

it maybe the shifter bushing is worn out or you have a worn clutch.
