which would you prefer a toyota supra or toyota celica (speed wise)?

personaly I would go for the toyota celica specialy the GT they have so many options to up grade to a high performance and it got the looks of a street mobile The supra I dont think you can get a brand new one this days like from your local dealer. To make a supra a high performance you will dig deeper into your pocket unlike the celica.

I assume you are aware that the Toyota Supra has not been sold since 1999. Anyway when it was sold it had an in line 6 cylinder engine as opposed to a 4 cylinder engine in the Celica. Therefore the Supra would be alot faster. Prior to 1985 the cars had the same body and looked almost the same. There are very few Supras around from 1986 to 1999 because they were not popular.

if you really love the speed and dont really care that much about the money you spend ill say the supra. supra has been made to be a really fast car stock 7mge non turbo engines of the supra has 200hp while the 7mgte supra has 230hp and that is stock and you can upgrade it to a 1jzgte engine or a 2jzgte engine that if you know what your doing can reach 1000+hp with the right upgrades.. and the looks of the supra are very nice. and supra's are very rare coz they are only made between 1979-2002 only.. so if i where you ill go for the supra.

The supra is faster stock, but they aren't made anymore and most that are for sale have been tuned in some way. The celica is already a pretty zippy car and you don't have to put too much money into it to make it faster.

Supra...Celica is nice, by the time you'd make it as fast as a Supra, you probably more money on than a Supra.
