It's a much better chance for the trannies to fit if the motors are the same. I didn't expect that Toyota engines are that different. So if both engines are nearly perfect, then the trannies used in both should be much easier to change out. But like the wiring harness diffs on the motor, there might be a slight size difference on trannies. Something which causes the tranny on one to be built slightly diff than other. But if both motors are almost exact, then it means both trannies would be easier to swap, than if they were diff motors.
