If the ABS warning light is on whilst driving, a fault has been detected in the ABS system & it's been turned off for safety. Normal braking should still be unaffected.
And you have a noise whilst braking - if it's a grating, metallic noise either a pad has disintegrated & damaged an ABS wheel sensor, or a wheel bearing has collapsed, causing the sensor to output an incorrect signal.
It could be one of several other faults too, you should have it looked at immediately.
