If you want performance than swap in the 2zz-ge
It comes in the pontiac vibe gt, celica gts, lotus elise, corolla s, and matrix xr
Depending on if you originally had a gt or gts celica, there may be a few other things you have to do to make it fit.
The 1zz-fe is the lower output engine, and comes in the base model celica gt, vibe, matrix, and corolla.
If you decide you want a turbo, 3sgte is the way to go. Much more work will need to go into it though. It is not the same size and type, just letting you know it is a possibility.
If it were me, if I just needed an engine, I would go find a junk yard with a celica and pull the engine if it were in decent shape. good luck with everything
