Default I might be purchasing a 1978 toyota selica liftback?
Other than one bad wheel bearing and a little cosmetic damage it's in great shape. Can anybody think of a reason why I shouldn't buy this car for $600. Where toyota's good quality in the 70's?















Does anybody know their gas mileage?

Celica....Celica....Celica. The build quality was good, but on a car that old, that's hardly the issue. You could get in the high teens to the low twenties mileage-wise once it's running right. If you're under 21, get the car. It will be fun and a good learning experience IF you are prepared to learn to fix the car yourself.

we had a 76 toyota celica and loved it. they come with a very reliable 4 cylinder engine, ours was a 5 speed stick. back in the 70's they were rear wheel drive and fun to cruise the hwy in.































remember that it's a 30 + year old car, but well worth the $600.































gas mileage should be close to 30mpg hwy and low to mid 20's in town.

A running average car after 40+ years is quality. if it cost more then 1500.00 to keep running then its not worth it.

If the engine is running right, low to mid 20s in town and up to 30 on the highway. that's if the engine is running right though.
