Straight pipe 2007 Tundra?

Default Straight pipe 2007 Tundra?
I have a 5.7 liter toyota tundra. What would happen if i cut the muffler off and put a straight pipe on it? Would it hurt my engine? Would it still be legal?

If you are going to straight pipe it, there is absolutely no problem with that. Just make sure you straight pipe it after the last O2 Sensor. No damage will be done to your engine. And yes it is street legal.















As far as noise goes, It's NOT going to be that loud.

On today's cars you can not cut out the catalytic converter. The computer uses the oxygen sensors to add and subtract fuel based on readings before and after the converter. By removing it you would mess it up. And yes it is illegal to remove the convert as well. Sorry I should have rad the question better I thought you where talking converter.

Whatever state you live in, I'm sure it would not be legal.































We used to go straight pipe in the 50s and the cops would stop us all the time because of the noise. You have no idea how much noise that truck will make with straight pipes. You won't be able to carry on a conversation while riding in it.































Your neighbors will be calling the cops for the noise, and if a cop heard you going down the street, you can bet you will be stopped.

as long as you leave the cataliytic converter on, it will be legal. but if its too loud, some cop's might have a problem with it.

but it would be fun. it's going to be as loud as those Nascar cars.
