Default Will a 2004 celica engine fit a 2000 celica?
I have a 2000 toyota celica gts with a blown engine. Will an engine from a 2004 celica fit it? They are both 1.8L, both GTS.















why would the lights and bumper be different? Could you elaborate on that? I would be buying a used engine, not replacing the front end.

yes, there might be some minord differences tho like the lights, bumper, height

They should fit fine, there were no structural difference in the 2ZZ-GE engines over the course of the 7th gen Celica lifetime. Only redline adjustments.

My verdict is no difference, should be a straightforward swap.

It will be a straight drop in replacement. The '04 GTS engine did not have the redline reduction, so it will rev higher than your '02. The lights and all that will not be different, as you are replacing just your engine. But yes it will be a straight drop in
