Since you didn't specify the year, look it up yourself. Goes back as far as 1985.

All the Tercel models range form around 35 to 37 mpg

I had a 1995 toyota tercel and mines was 33 mpg road miles. I never really clocked the city miles

The WORST I've ever done in my 97 Tercel is 34.99, the best is 47.77. A master driver using non ethanol gas could push 55mpg I'm sure. One of the best cars ever.
