Default what are the requirements to work as a mechanic for toyotas service department.?
ill be starting uti soon, and im a nissan guy, and i can take the nissan classes at uti, but toyota isn't available, but i do like toyotas/lexus as well..i would like to know if i could just take the core class and then land a job or does toyota require a certification that uti in a another state offers, i can get the NATT from nissan. kinda hard to understand but ya'll should get my drift.















btw no shit toyota doesn't hire their mechanics.

"Toyota" doesn't hire mechanics; Toyota DEALERS do. Call your local Toyota dealers, ask to speak to their service department managers, and find out what they want...































Just like any other job, if the manager is short-staffed, they'll be less picky on qualifications.

If you already know that Toyota doesn't hire mechanics, then why are you asking "does toyota require a certification"? Dealers will hire anyone that owns a set of tools, regardless of certifications, if the dealer is desperate enough (and if the mechanic will work cheaply enough).































With your attitude you'll make a perfect mechanic.
