99 toyota trans oil in radiator?

Default 99 toyota trans oil in radiator?
im getting trans fluid in my radiator this sounds funny but i need to make a 400 mile trip would it be ok plus i dont know if this was that way when i left to come on this trip from Va. to Pa. and back thanks for the help

most vehicles tranny lines run into the radiator to get its cooling and it sounds like the radiator is internally rusted. i would not drive it anywere untill it is fixed, because it tranny fluid can get into the coolant...that means coolant can get into the tranny. and water in the tranny is not good at all.

You probably have leaking Engine head gasket which needs to be replaced Immediately, This may seize your engine if the gasket is old as the radiator water would mix in the engine oil.































The oil in the radiator is of the Engine not the transmission as the Radiator is not linked to the transmission. Most of the transmission have there separate oil coolers.

You need a new radiator! DO NOT drive it! Especially on a long trip! You could do major damage. Replace the radiator and flush the coolant. Transmission fluid will soften rubber so you may need hoses too.















Plus if coolant get's in the transmission kiss it goodbye!!!































Transmission fluid runs hotter than the engine coolant/antifreeze so the transmission cooler is a small tank inside the radiator tank so the coolant runs over it and cools the tranny fluid. That's how it works. That little tranny fluid tank has ruptured inside the radiator tank and it's mixing with the coolant in the radiator. EEEK!!!!
